My name is Pauline Kago. Born and raised in Nakuru, Kenya.
Kai Designs started with a conviction of creating handcrafted vegan leather bags that combine timeless style, quality craftsmanship and purpose.
Kai Designs did not start in a factory or a boardroom.
It started way before I ever knew it, but it was birthed in the prayer room. Followed a single sewing machine in the corner of my bedroom, with no formal training and no idea what the first stitch would look like.
Behind every Kai bag is a journey of learning, experimenting, creating and refusing to give up. What started as a small dream has grown into a brand of serving customers with bags designed with quality and purpose in mind.
I am the founder behind Kai Designs, and building this brand has taught me that doing business is a lot more than making a product. It's about listening to customers, solving real problems, improving on every creation, and building something that people can trust.
